~ A Night Of Spanish @ Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant ~

I've always had Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Western, Thai or even French cuisine, but still haven't got the chance to try out Spanish or something similar to Mediterranean-style cuisine. So when I met up with Connie, and her boyfriend, Kj for the FIRST TIME (I mean I know him, but only from facebook, lol), we decided to try out this place - Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant in Vivo City, Harbourfront. xD

Serenity is a place that serves authentic Spanish flavours and culture delicious cuisine. Their specialties are tapas, paellas (Spanish rice), Spanish style suckling pig, pork knuckles, Sangria (Spanish wine cocktails), etc. =)

You can absolutely have an enjoyable dining experience as they have alfresco area that face Sentosa. If you wanted to bring your date to a romantic dinner and need some wines to lift the mood up? Fret not! They have a good and wide selection of wines! =)

It took us quite a while to decide what to eat cuz they really serve up a variety of delicious food and most of them looked so tempting! >.< We finally decided to settle it by ordering two dishes to share. It might sounds little for 3 people but trust me, we still can't quite finished up the dishes! Lol.

One of the dishes that we ordered was the Pollo Con Samfaina. It was a roasted chicken stuffed with Spanish-style vegetable rice. =)

The rice is flavourful and the chicken is tender and soft, but the taste is quite similar to Chinese dish though, lol. Maybe there are some similarities of flavours in both Spanish and Chinese cuisine, I guessed. xD

And here comes the signature dish of Serenity - Paella Valenciana. Paella is actually a traditional rice dish of Spain originating from the city of Valencia. It has saffron, chicken, chorizo (pork sausage), tiger prawns, squid, mussels and rice. Really put in a lot of ingredients to cook this dish!

The dish looked appetizing enough and the colour of the dish is definitely feast for the eyes. =) The rice is a bit sticky and slightly burn at the base, it reminds me of our claypot chicken rice that I like, haha! xD The rice is burst with flavour but nothing too stands out though.

But all in all, Serenity is a place for you to enjoy some Spanish and Mediterranean-style cuisine or if you are having some special occasions. The price isn't that pocket friendly though, so I don't think I will go back in a short while.

Mind you, you really need to wait for quite some times in order to have your food serve as they said they only start to cook after they received ordered from customers. Better don't go if your stomach is growling and can't wait for food! xD

Three of us went to Brotzeit German Bier Bar & Restaurant to chill and enjoyed our second round. xD We ordered ourselves some beers and desserts to enjoy. It's Friday night anyway! =)

For desserts, we ordered the Pancake With Rum and Raisins (Kaiserschmarren). The pancake was soft and it was served hot. Taste even better when you dipped it into the sauce. =)

The photo of us on that day! xD
