Tucked away on the 2nd storey of a shophouses in Duxton Hill, Group Therapy Cafe provides space to allow groups to gather and seek respite in the heart of CBD (Central Business District) area. The group therapy cafe endeavor to live by the mantra of providing bespoke experiences for anyone who seeks a place away from the daily grind. =)
Know the existence of this cafe from other cafe hoppers' blog and when my friend, Mandy asked me whether I wanna go and try the place out or not, I immediately said yes of course! xD This cafe located at Duxton Hill, which is somewhere behind the famous 2D1N Soju Bang Korean BBQ restaurant. Now sounds more easy to find out this cafe right? xD
If you didn't do enough "research" a.k.a. homework before you start your cafe hunting, you might missed out the place! =O You will see a sign board indicates that the group therapy cafe is located on the 2nd storey of a row of shophouses, to make sure you able to find the place, haha! =P

~ Truffs - A Hidden Gem In CBD Area ~
Thanks to my office's weekly one hour off recently, I got more opportunities to explore the hidden cafe or makan places around my office area, and Truffs is one of them. I really wouldn't notice this place if I didn't look up for the shophouses on 2nd storey. (Will try to look up more in case I'm going to miss out anymore nice place afterwards. >.<)
A collaboration between Outofstock design studio and Truffs, the Truffs cafe provide customers a space to hide away and savour delectable treats while enjoying the handcrafted designs by Outofstock. The Truffs offered a menu of their signature cakes and truffles paired with gourmet tea and locally roasted coffee.
The Truffs located at the 2nd storey of some shophouses nearby Ahmoy food centre. The cafe is spacious and the interior is quite simple. Simple doesn't mean not nice right? Haha.

~ Spend Some Alonetime @ Selfish Gene Cafe ~
Selfish Gene Cafe, such an interesting name isn't it? Haha, will tell you guys more about their name later on. Usually I seldom (or almost never?) will go to a cafe alone, but that day I managed to do so!! Hahaha, kinda happy about it, lol. (Can considered as an achievement for successfully taking the first step!! =P)
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of a crowd area, this cafe located somewhere at Outram/Tanjong Pagar area. Guess you must be wondering why they name the place "Selfish Gene". They had always been rather selfish when come to food, not that never or unwilling to share the food, but rather they will not serve anyone food that he would not eat himself.
Although my friend told me that it would be easier if I walk from Outram MRT station but since I'm already in Raffles Place, so might as well I just walked to Tanjong Pagar and start from there?

~ Cafe Hunting : The Coffee Shot @ Lavender ~
This cafe that located somewhere out of the corner in Lavender street caught my eyes when I went for the prawn mee last time. And some of my friends also went to this cafe before but I still didn't get a chance to make a trip there. Just can't seemed to find a proper time I guess..
Finally, the chance came! Took a half day off and asked Jermaine for an impromptu meet up, and bingo~! We decided to go for The Coffee Shot as neither of us wanna travel far. *Oh my, we were just getting more and more lazy! =P*
The cafe is spacious and the interior is quite "classical"? One side of the cafe is more to "home-style", the seatings for this area are sofa, make you feel more like at home. While the other side is typical "cafe-style", with normal wooden tables and chairs as seatings. =)
