~ Truffs - A Hidden Gem In CBD Area ~

Thanks to my office's weekly one hour off recently, I got more opportunities to explore the hidden cafe or makan places around my office area, and Truffs is one of them. I really wouldn't notice this place if I didn't look up for the shophouses on 2nd storey. (Will try to look up more in case I'm going to miss out anymore nice place afterwards. >.<)

A collaboration between Outofstock design studio and Truffs, the Truffs cafe provide customers a space to hide away and savour delectable treats while enjoying the handcrafted designs by Outofstock. The Truffs offered a menu of their signature cakes and truffles paired with gourmet tea and locally roasted coffee.

The Truffs located at the 2nd storey of some shophouses nearby Ahmoy food centre. The cafe is spacious and the interior is quite simple. Simple doesn't mean not nice right? Haha.

~ TGIF @ Standing Sushi Bar & RedDot BrewHouse ~

"Standing Sushi bar? So we eat while standing?" LOL! This is what my friends' replied when we were discussing where to meet on a Friday night. Hahaha, funny people but of course got seat la, my gosh! And as usual, I saw and heard from my friends about this bar that served nice Japanese food but never had the chance to go down myself, tsk tsk tsk, I'm just not fast enough. *Asked you to race meh? lol.*

I can said that this restaurant is not that easy but also not that hard to spot. If you all know the Food For Thought which located nearby Bras Basah station (Find exit for Queen St), you definitely can find it! What makes it not that easy to be spotted is because it's somewhere hidden in the corner, but no worry, it's located at the left side of Food For Thought. =)

~ A Chillax Afternoon @ Vanilla Bar & Cafe ~

Thanks to the new weekly one hour off thing in my company, I've finally got this chance to try out this Vanilla Bar & Cafe which just located somewhere near my office. Saw my colleague paid a visit to this cafe and am attracted by their signature dessert - The Vanilla Dirt Cake! So since I got two hours lunch break, why not just fully utilized my time and try it out? xD

Tucked in a quaint shophouse in a quiet corner of Boon Tat street, Vanilla Bar & Cafe provides delectable Japanese fusion comfort food, premium coffee and serves as a cocktail bar in the evenings. The interior of the cafe has a strong japanese influence, surprisingly..
