It was a quite impromptu dinner date as I really didn't had any plan that day but then I suddenly received whatsapp from Janessa asking whether wanna meet for dinner or not. Of course I'll said YES! Then the dinner just set with total 6 of us, Janessa, her bf Royce, Connie, her bf Keinth, Yuki and me! =)
The dinner was set at Bugis so we decided to head for Miam Miam as we never tried it out before. Miam Miam is the combination of French artisanal cuisine and Japanese culinary. And I saw a lot of people highly recommended their French Toast as one the must-try when you are there but unfortunately we didn't ordered that. Will reveal more later on. =/
Anyway, before I proceed with my post, I got one photo I wanted to post, haha! My friends sent me their pic showing that they were all waiting for me and asked me to hurry!! Wells, since you guys sent me that, I think I shall posted it here for sharing! HAHA. xD

~ Spend A Nice Weekend With Friends From North ~
Yes, I know I'm super SLOW cuz it's been a LONG while that my friends made their visit to Singapore and only till now then I blog about it. Really didn't have any spare time to update my blog despite of my super busy works that caused me to OT like everyday? And been going out these few weekends, so yeah, that's why I don't have time to blog. *sob sob* Hopefully after this I will have more time to update you guys more, hehe. xD
Actually I've got to know that Alexis and the rest (Jenice, Sookyann, Sookyann's sis and Anthony) will be coming down to Singapore on Saturday as she already told me before hand. So I asked some of my friends to come out and be their "tour guide" of the day, haha. =P
Our first destination was the Singapore's most famous tourist attraction - Sentosa. And no, we do not go there for the universal studio but just went there to take some pictures only, haha. xD Here are a few photos that were taken in Sentosa. =)

~ A Long-Time-No-Have-Breakfast/Brunch @ Five And Dime Eatery ~
It's been quite long time since I last had a PROPER breakfast or brunch, too lazy to go out lately. >.< So finally I managed to drag myself out from my slumber land and met up with my bestie, Alexis for breakfast. Of course she will have the first priority since she traveled to Singapore. (When is your turn Shing?! xD)
I decided to go to Five and Dime which is located at River Valley (which is quite "ulu" by the way) as I saw this place received quite a few of good reviews on its food and the dining environment. =) I wanna said a BIG thanks to my friend, Tuckh Poon for finding out the way to get to the destination =P
After almost half an hour of walking, we finally reached! xD God knows how sunny it was... >.< While we were waiting for Alexis's boyfriend, Ah Fui to join us, we were also waiting for our table. So here's a little reminder for you all, please make a reservation before you come as this place is very crowded during weekend. >.<

~ My Spiciest 24th Birthday Celebration @ Casa Verde, Botanical Gardens ~
Yes, I'm now 24 already, I start to feel so old now! *sob sob* Sometimes the thought of having so little time but yet you still have so many things to do and to achieve in life kinda freak me out. A few accidents happened just within this few months and some even happened to my close friends' family or friends, I totally can feel that our life are too fragile, you will never when is the end so we must remind ourselves to cherish and live our life to the fullest! =)
My birthday fell on a special occasion, which is the International Women's Day! Hahaha, that's why my friends all like to say that I'm a 38 people (means that I'm "gepoh" aka busybody, lol). Wells, maybe I am but I'm just trying to be helpful ok! xD
My friends brought me to this hidden gem inside botanical gardens, Casa Verde, a place that served Italian cuisine in the midst of the green nature. You can enjoy your meal and the beauty of nature at the same time! Sounds like a great experience, haha! xD

~ A Hidden Boutique Cafe : Vanity Haus @ Ipoh ~
This post was supposed to be up a long time ago but apparently I keep updating my blog on more places that I've been to recently, that's why I keep dragging this post and sort of forgetting about it. =P (And I'm very sure my friends especially that David sure will tease me about this.)
Anyway, that's not the main point. I had a gathering with my good old buddies Kinki, Candy and David during the last time I went back to my hometown. We wanted to go to B.E.D. (Bread Espresso Dessert) initially but we changed to this hidden cafe at Canning Garden since we were unable to get ourselves nice seats at B.E.D. >.<
We really didn't know the existence of the boutique cafe until David brought us there. It's really well-hidden I must said, lol. Vanity Haus is located in a midst of residential houses in Canning Garden. If you didn't pay attention carefully, you could have missed out this place!

~ Pre-Christmas Dinner + Gathering @ Au Chocolat ~
Okay, so... one of my new year resolution is "update my blog as soon as I can", so I'm gonna
keep my promise and update you guys on my pre-Christmas post with my old buddies first.
Wanted to write the whole Christmas in one post but I don't think can as this will be a quite long post. =P So do looking forward to my post on Christmas! xD So after a few discussions in whatsapp, we chose Au Chocolat at Marina Bay Sands as the venue of our pre-christmas dinner + gathering. =)
Some of you might be wondering why we didn't have this dinner on Christmas day itself or Christmas' Eve, I was really hoping for that but unfortunately some of them were unable to make it therefore we changed it to the Sunday before Christmas. =)
I like how the place looks like, the whole place is fulled of "European feel", and the place got that "atas" feel. Can't think of any proper words to describe the place, so I will let the photos do all the talking. xD

~ An Affordable Yet Quality French Cuisine @ Saveur ~
Yes, like a finally! Finally I got the chance to dine in Saveur! xD For those who has been reading my blog, sure know why is like a finally to me. Oh wells, wanted to go last time but we ended up at this J K Don, haha! And this time round also with the same people just lack of Alice. >.<
This time round we chose a weekend to go, since weekend is a more suitable timing for all of us instead of a weekday. Saveur got two outlets and the one we went is the main one, which is located at Purvis Street, somewhere near to Bugis and Bras Basah.

~ Second Gathering With The Xuejis @ Yomenya Goeman & TWG ~
I know I should be writing my Christmas post now but I must get a few posts done first before I write that one. Still quite in holiday mood now, feel quite lazy to write, and been going out quite often recently (had a few Christmas dinner lately, will update soon. xD), that's why I don't have much time to sit still and complete my post. (Jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle all the way... Haha, I missed Christmas! =P)
Anyway, after my first gathering with my Xue Ji fellows last time at Pique Nique, Kah Seng arranged another XueJi outing. But with more people this time round although some of them unable to turn up due to their personal matters, but we always looking forward to our next gathering. =)
Yomenya Goemon, a Japanese spaghetti house, where they cook the spaghetti in a Japanese way is the venue of our second gathering that night. =) There are a few outlets of Yomenya Goeman and we went to the Marina Bay Link mall that one.

~ Gathering With My Girls @ Happy 8 Cafe (Ipoh) ~
Been trying my best to update here as much and as soon as I can, but seriously it's harder than I thought. The only free time I have now is only weekend, provided that I didn't go out. Of course weekdays will be working, and more OT will be expected since quite a lot of people on leave during year end. (All going on a trip!! >.<) So usually after work I will be too lazy and too tired to sit in front of my laptop and blog. What's more with I'm taking Korean classes now, so I find that "time is so little yet the things that I wanna do is SO MUCH"!!!! *Sigh*
Remembered that I went back to Ipoh last time and I did mentioned that I managed to do some cafe hunting in Ipoh? So today I wanna blog about my another cafe hunting experience - Happy 8 Cafe. Guess what? This Happy 8 cafe just located behind the company that I last time worked in Ipoh before I came out to Singapore. Surprise surprise...
I went to Happy 8 cafe after my meet up with Alice in Zakka Loft to join my girls, haha. Tucked away in Ipoh old town, Happy 8 cafe

~ A Gathering With My XueJi Fellows @ Pique Nique ~
I always feel the world is so small yet so big. Haha, I accidentally bumped into Kah Seng once therefore we decided to arrange a dinner out together with Raymond. And of course I was the one who decide the venue since I always hunting for new places, haha. Wanted to try Pique Nique for very long time and now here comes the chance! xD
Located at the basement of Takashimaya, Pique Nique serves variety of American comfort food from all day breakfast to desserts such as brownies, which make customers spoilt for choice. This place is always crowded, so try to avoid those peak hours if you don't wanna queue for too long!

~ Cafe Hunting @ Ipoh : Zakka Loft Cafe ~
With a simple dream, a hunch of innocence, and a best friend. Zakka Loft was born. Zakka Loft brings to all a handcrafting way of life. The term Zakka is derived from the Japanese word "Zak-ka" (杂货), which is the common objects that we use everyday to enhance our lifestyle.
I know there are more and more cafes in Singapore now, and somehow cafe hopping has becoming a trend recently. And surprisingly cafes are sprouting out in my hometown - Ipoh too.

~ 有朋之远方来 :吃在台北(Eat At Taipei) ~
It's been a week since I last updated my blog, sorry for the delay but am really trying my best to update as soon as I can! =) Anyway, I was away for the last weekend back to my lovely hometown - Ipoh! And to my surprise, there are a lot of cafes opened in Ipoh now! *excited*
Definitely will blog about my gathering with my old friends while exploring the new cafes there soon, hehe. xD But..but..but...way before this, I met up with one of my old friend, Siu, who is also one of the girls from the group of gals I usually hang out with. =)
It happened that she came Singapore because she needs to attend her relatives' wedding here, so I got this opportunity to meet up with her. After a few discussions, we decided to meet for lunch @ Chinatown Point where her hotel just nearby.

~ Spend Some Alonetime @ Selfish Gene Cafe ~
Selfish Gene Cafe, such an interesting name isn't it? Haha, will tell you guys more about their name later on. Usually I seldom (or almost never?) will go to a cafe alone, but that day I managed to do so!! Hahaha, kinda happy about it, lol. (Can considered as an achievement for successfully taking the first step!! =P)
Hidden away from the hustle and bustle of a crowd area, this cafe located somewhere at Outram/Tanjong Pagar area. Guess you must be wondering why they name the place "Selfish Gene". They had always been rather selfish when come to food, not that never or unwilling to share the food, but rather they will not serve anyone food that he would not eat himself.
Although my friend told me that it would be easier if I walk from Outram MRT station but since I'm already in Raffles Place, so might as well I just walked to Tanjong Pagar and start from there?

~ Cafe Hunting : Penny University @ Katong ~
I just don't know why can't bring myself to blog about my experience to this cafe, just keep on dragging and dragging.. =( I've went to this Penny University like, for ages? Lol! Probably I'm just too lazy, you know, to recall and write it out, but this seriously must be done fast!!!! >.<
It was on a Sunday (Once upon a time... lol.) and after lunch at this Beach Road Prawn Mee Eating House at Katong, we went for some "high-tea" time at Penny University which just located nearby. (Just to let you guys know, the prawn mee here taste super good! *Thumbs up!* Should go try if you guys are around or making a trip to Penny University. =))
Penny University is a term that originated from 18th century coffeehouses in London, England. For the price of a penny, one had access to coffee. It is an artisanal cafe born out of a love of coffee discovered in London.

~ Cafe Hunting : The Coffee Shot @ Lavender ~
This cafe that located somewhere out of the corner in Lavender street caught my eyes when I went for the prawn mee last time. And some of my friends also went to this cafe before but I still didn't get a chance to make a trip there. Just can't seemed to find a proper time I guess..
Finally, the chance came! Took a half day off and asked Jermaine for an impromptu meet up, and bingo~! We decided to go for The Coffee Shot as neither of us wanna travel far. *Oh my, we were just getting more and more lazy! =P*
The cafe is spacious and the interior is quite "classical"? One side of the cafe is more to "home-style", the seatings for this area are sofa, make you feel more like at home. While the other side is typical "cafe-style", with normal wooden tables and chairs as seatings. =)

~ TGIF @ Standing Sushi Bar & RedDot BrewHouse ~
"Standing Sushi bar? So we eat while standing?" LOL! This is what my friends' replied when we were discussing where to meet on a Friday night. Hahaha, funny people but of course got seat la, my gosh! And as usual, I saw and heard from my friends about this bar that served nice Japanese food but never had the chance to go down myself, tsk tsk tsk, I'm just not fast enough. *Asked you to race meh? lol.*
I can said that this restaurant is not that easy but also not that hard to spot. If you all know the Food For Thought which located nearby Bras Basah station (Find exit for Queen St), you definitely can find it! What makes it not that easy to be spotted is because it's somewhere hidden in the corner, but no worry, it's located at the left side of Food For Thought. =)

~ Old Buddies Gathering @ Hoshino Coffee(星乃咖啡店) ~
Mr. Woo (a.k.a Ah Fui) asked for a short meet up (yum cha) on a Sunday afternoon. Since none of us (four of us actually) intended to travel far, so I suggested to meet in town instead. After a lunch in Xin Wang Hong Kong Restaurant @ Plaza Singapura, we decided to head for some tea time!
After roaming a while in Plaza Singapura, we finally decided to settle our tea time at this place called Hoshino Coffee, which located at the new extension of Plaza Singapura. Even though it is no longer a new restaurant around, but the queue is still snakingly long! >.<
Hoshino Coffee is well known for its hand dripped coffee and the fluffy souffle pancakes. And I heard that Hoshino Coffee also served good japanese style pasta,

~ Cafe Hunting : 49 Seats @ Outram Park ~
"49 seats? Why only 49 seats? Is it really only 49 seats they have? Where's the extra one?" Blah blah blah, that's what my friends, Xinru and HuiMin asked when we got there. Haha, okay..so it was both of their last day in my workplace, therefore we decided to have a dinner date together! ( And since when it has become a trend to hang out on your last day?! Lol!)
And once again, they asked me to decide where to go since I'm the one who love to hunt for nice food and always go dig around where to go. No doubt that recently I'm hooked to this blog that introduce all the nice cafes in Singapore! Go check out her blog, is really awesome! http://cafehoppingsg.blogspot.sg/ OK, NOT THE MAIN POINT ONCE AGAIN. Haha, so I decided to go to this cafe called 49 seats since I got friends who also went there before.
This cafe is actually located somewhere very near to Outram Park mrt station, about 5-10 mins walk then can reach already. But guess what?

~A Contradicting Day Of Food Hunting @ Lavender~
It was an impromptu dinner whereby my friend initially was only asking out for a "yum-cha" session, then it just turned out to be a food hunting since the other friend of mine, Mandy saying that she wanna brought us to try the famous prawn mee in lavender area.
This prawn mee is located inside Lavender Food Square, probably one of those places you would least expected to find good food. But this prawn mee also recommended by Miss Tam Chiak, you can check out from her blog, which is also how Mandy found out about this prawn mee.
The prawn mee isn't that expensive, only 5 dollars each and they got a few different kind of servings. They have prawn mee+scallop, prawn mee+pork ribs or prawn mee+pigtails. And of course I chose the prawn mee+scallop! :)

~ Gather Gather Together ~
Can't believe I'm actually updating my blog so fast (at least faster than I thought, lol). Probably am too free today and rutting at home, that's why. Able to manage my blog and done some features and settings on it. Anyway, this is not really the main point, haha. *Just wanna clarify that I'm actually do putting in some efforts to run my blog, hehe. =P)
OKAY, MAIN POINT. Finally the four of us have the chance and time to gather last night. And who are the four of us?! Is me, Alice, Li Ting and Edwin! Usually only me and Li Ting and Edwin going out, Alice just a bit too busy, haha. (Before she come and beat me up, I better clarify here: Is just that our timing is not right, that's why she can't showed up~)
We have all agreed to meet up after work last night and went for the Savuer, the famous restaurant that served French cuisine at Bras Basah there to give it a try. I heard that the food they served there not bad and not pricey for French cuisine. Was so looking forward to the dining but end up we didn't able to dine there due to the queue was just WAY TOO LONG. NO KIDDING. The waiter there approached and told us that we might need to wait for an hour or so. (C'm on, how do you expect us to wait for an hour while all of us were feeling ravenous and stomach already growling?!)
So we decided to go to Ah Loy Thai since it's also a very famous place for Thai food. Guess what? The queue over there was even longer than the queue at savuer! Guess Friday's night really not a right time to try out these places, or we just simply don't have the luck! :( Don't wanna walk around again so we decided to settle ourselves in JK Don Express which is also @ Shaw Tower!
It is a restaurant that served Jap and Korean cuisines, but surprisingly not many people there. This is how the menu looks like :
